What is eCybermission?www.ecybermission.com describes its program as "a web-based science, math and technology competition for 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th grade teams. Your team will propose a solution to a real problem in your community and compete for regional and national awards."We believe that eCybermission offers kids a reason to do something for their community. Normaly, a group of 14-year-olds would not just decide to start testing water, typing articles, making websites, and creating public service announcements for a problem in their area. This is why eCybermission not only encourages creativity, but it let us do something to give back to the rest of the world and really make a difference. Who are We?We are three eighth grade girls trying to make a difference. We studied ecosystems in 7th grade, and thought that this would be a great way to apply our knowledge and learn more. Our team name is "The Algae Busters" and we have been working on this project since early November 2008. |
